My name is Ariel Schwarting and I can't believe that this is already my fifth year of teaching 3rd grade here at Grant Elementary. I have lived in Columbia for four years, and I have loved my time here so far! I am originally from a very small town in Illinois that is about two hours south of Chicago.I graduated from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, IL, in May of 2013 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Along with earning my bachelor’s, I also became endorsed in special education and middle school education. During my student teaching I was able to teach in fifth and third grade classrooms. I began my Master's Degree of Educational Leadership this fall!
I am very excited to be continuing my career in this community! From my experiences in the past few years, I know that Grant is a place that I want to be at for a very long time. I feel extremely blessed and privileged to be working in this school and teaching some amazing students. I am excited for the new school year, new class, and new adventures! Let the learning begin!!
