Hello everyone!
My name is Ariel Schwarting and I can't believe that this is already my fifth year of teaching 3rd grade here at Grant Elementary. I have lived in Columbia for four years, and I have loved my time here so far! I am originally from a very small town in Illinois that is about two hours south of Chicago.
I graduated from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, IL, in May of 2013 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Along with earning my bachelor’s, I also became endorsed in special education and middle school education. During my student teaching I was able to teach in fifth and third grade classrooms. I began my Master's Degree of Educational Leadership this fall!
I am very excited to be continuing my career in this community! From my experiences in the past few years, I know that Grant is a place that I want to be at for a very long time. I feel extremely blessed and privileged to be working in this school and teaching some amazing students. I am excited for the new school year, new class, and new adventures! Let the learning begin!!
